What We Pay
To give you the highest rate of return possible, All-American Gold Buyers takes into account the total combined weight and purity of your gold jewelry when calculating your payment. The industry's practice is to measure the weight of gold in pennyweights (dwt), where 1dwt = 1.5g. Thus, when calculating your payment, we will multiply the number of pennyweights of gold you've sent to us by the amount which is a function of the world gold price (see the graph on the bottom right of the page) and the purity of your items. Furthermore, if you sent in your items within 48 hours of receiving your Free FedEx label, we will add an additional 20% to your reward amount. Of course, we will capture the entire evaluation and appraisal process on video for you to review. Since the price of gold on commodities' market fluctuates from day-to-day, All-American Gold Buyers typically calculates the payment amounts daily, as described above, based on the London gold fixing. This means that the price we pay on the day you're mailing your items to us might not be the same as on the day we receive them. But not to worry, we strive to provide you with the very best customer service and the highest rate of return possible. That's why All-American Gold Buyers will guarantee to fix the price we pay for your items either on the day your Gold Kit was postmarked when mailed to us or, on the day we receive it, whichever price is HIGHER. Here is a quick example: let's say you mail us your items on Tuesday when the price of 1 oz of pure gold on the world market is $1,000. We receive your Gold Kit the following Monday, four (4) days later, when the price of gold on the afternoon London gold fixing fell to $900. We will guarantee to calculate your payment based on the price of $1,000 we paid on the day you mailed your jewelry to us. This is truly unprecedented approach to gold buying.
